hotchocolate on a cold day

so i take it this is the essential measure required, so i can leave the random remark on my friends and siblings blogs. talk about peer pressure... well i'm not sure i have much to say...but perhaps the words will come, and hey i might get an extra birthday wish or two.

Hey Kim!! Awesome... It's fun that you have a blog now too! Is January 20th your birthday?

It's kinda fun to have kind of a "Blog" community..... and make sure to post about anything.... everything... just what happened in your day..... it's better that way!

Welcome to the community... I have just discovered the whole blogging "culture" - it definately is a culture... I have been reflecting on all types of culture - especially the cultures of corporations... unions... how was Victoria?

hey you! hmmm yeah definately a whole new frontier here. i feel cautious about it somehow. the fun stuff is fun, but sometimes i read really sacred and tender secrets that i may never know about in direct conversation. there's like this whole other layer...that i'm not sure about yet.

ah...the island? it was so good. cairos for sure. played some: "mother may i" with ben and rachel. yeah it was a very great weekend in lots of ways. i'll tell you some good stuff when i see you. ah and check www.ancientfaithradio.com it's so good. you will like it, i think

yeah, you're a good blend of cheeky and sneaky i'd say. i do enjoy blending my lowercase words. it's funny because i tend to be such a persnickity copy editor at times, but then i abandon all rules and slur and elipse my way through...

speaking of hotchocolate, i was just out on an errand this morning with a co-worker to the Home Depot (i love my job somedays) and so we stopped through at the new drivethru starbucks down on terminal. i'm pleased to report that they are serving a new 'DRINKING CHOCOLATE' which i liked the sounds of. sounds a bit more involved than a usual plain 'HOT'.
I'm fairly comfortable with any form of chocolate, really.

I was delighted a couple of weekends ago that some island friends were tossing back handfuls of chocolate chips (right out of the bag) in between sips of brandy.

I shared that a 1/2 handful of pecans, 1/2 handful of chocolate chips and a spoonful of the eaglebrand goes down pretty easy.

finally. well kim, I have been looking for your blog for a while, its hard to find you know...but not for long! if you don't mind, I will add you to my growing list.
this blogging culture sure is strange. but rest assured, people are writing with the public in mind, whether they ought to or not is maybe another issue, but perhaps its a new way to realize we need to have more transparent relationships? I wonder...

That recipe sounds incredible! I love the addition of the eagle brand!

That drinking chocolate at Starbucks (did you try it?), which I think they refer to as "Chantico," is, I think a clever imitation of the stuff I used to make at the Pomegranate Cafe.

okay... everyone... the reason Kim hasn't been posting here is because she actually somehow blocked herself out of this blog.

It's kind of like leaving your keys in the car while its running... we've all done it before, and it usually requires our brother Jeff coming to help us. But in this case, I think I've been able to do the trick. So from now on... January 20th will be over here Clever browsers will notice that URL is slightly different. See you over there!

Welcome! Can we call you by your name, or is it just KF now? (Kinda like KFC, but without the chicken...? Hey, it beats being mistaken for the Parents Television Council...)
