what's the architects name again? its on the tip of my tongue. if that's the same building I saw pics of a long time ago in Barcelona. hmmm. whats that guys name!
well Kim, thats how its going to be in east van isn't it? I thought when I get back we are all going to start looking for a house to buy that we can have a bookstore on the main floor of, live in the top and bottom...and make phone calls from sunny windows. now, the architecture may not be quite so cool, but brunch will still be good if matthew is making paella
It's Gaudi, Mira. Antonio Gaudi. Yeah his work is so--his own. Yes, Barcelona indeed. I visited there when I was 18...Parc Guell is his former residence up on the hill with the park supported by columns. The smashed teacup mosaic-ing goes on for what seems like miles. I went back a few years later with my friend Yvonne, and saw a bit more than the first time.
His stuff really is mind blowing...sagrada familla is the tall spindly cathedral. it looks like tim burton.
dave, that sounds pretty cool. i may be looking for a nice little sailboat now to live aboard, for next september; we'll see what God has in mind. it might be nice to have a modest shared land dwelling to go with, on the rainy, stormy days.
you are going to live on a sailboat? can people do that? I want to do that too? can you just rent it out? how does that work? wow. that sounds really cool. the only consideration is hosting guests...
no no still here. we just had an emergency preparedness drill this morning at the marina (happy we weren't testing lifejackets! at least! but we were hooking up fire hoses etc...and i'm chilled to the bone!
living aboard is a dreamy dream i've had a long time. it's a simple way to live, with just the basics. we'll see what comes....!
